MRS. MARY LEE WILLIAMS, 85
On Saturday March 23, 2019, Sister Mary Lee Williams went home to be with the Lord at age 85 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Sister Mary Lee Williams was born on September 2, 1933 in Mt. Holly, Arkansas to Vera Eutsey Langston and Willie C. Davis who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Freeman Langston; her siblings, Clara Reed and Will C. Davis Jr.
In January 1951, Mary united in marriage with James Willie Williams Sr. and remained a devoted and loving wife for 60 years. Together they had two children, Mary Williams Odom and James Willie Williams Jr.
Mary Williams served as a Choir Member, Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, and faithful member of the St. Mary Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was appointed as the President of the Block Beautification Lakeside Area Neighborhood Association. Mary Williams enjoyed cooking for her friends and family. Most of all she loved fishing on the lake.
Those left to cherish her memories are her brother Walter Davis; two children, Mary Williams Odom and James Willie Williams Jr. (Dorothy); grandchildren, Tawanda Bailey Moore (Ondrell), Jameeka LaShay Williams, and James Willie Williams III; great grandchildren, Averyona Janae Williams, Semaj Victoria Williams, Devyn Ellington Moore, Kinleig Grace Williams, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
